Hello everyone. Got released from school at 12 yesterday. The whole school had to go down to the national stadium to cheer for the track meet.. Coolness! We only had 2 periods of proper schooling, then assembly periods, then we were off! Had to go down ourselves.. Only sec1s got chartered buses.. Sigh. Nvm. I knew how to go anyway. So met up with Lenard and Dun Jie and went to coronation and had lunch. Had some really hot sambal chicken.. Was so HOT! Had indigestion even hours later.. Bought some stuff at NTUC. Then went stadium. We didn’t cheer much.. Haha.. Didn’t feel like it.. And I was a little sick.. Got a slight sore throat.. Yep. Haha.. It rained halfway lor.. How anti-climax. So we left and went to Serene Mac’s.. Got off the wrong stop, at coro instead, and had to walk all the way back.. We were acting crazy and cheering ‘Hua-zhong’.. Haha! Lame! But funny. Met this really grouchy waitress.. Pissed us off and I almost wanted to start to get back at her.. But decided not to.. Oh well. Ate and walked to coronation to buy more stuff.. Haha.. And changed. Lenard and Dun Jie were like fussing over me.. Haha.. Thanks a million, guys! So took 151 to NUS, UCC. Was gonna catch Making the Grade, MGS musical. Got there really early.. Was cold inside so we went out to sit at this place that was constructed in a circle. Hahaz.. Whee. And just sat there talking.. Lenard went off, came back, went off again.. Muahaha. So we went in.. Met Zhao Han. Thanks for sharing the programme booklet, haha! 5 bucks ok.. No joke.. =) The thing started quite late..
Well.. Have to say the thing really rocked.. Singing was really really good. Was surprised! I mean you don’t really expect a lot right? Only secondary school! But it was great lah. Orchestra and drummer was good! But strings just don’t go with microphones.. Quite sad that the sound coming out on the speakers were a little distorted.. Were some technical problems in between, and no sound could be heard from the cast.. Then this girl who was dancing on a table lost her balance and almost fell.. Whoops! Could see the conductor’s head bobbing up and down, side to side, at the pit! Looked so siao ok! Haha! Some girls behind me were screaming totally like crazy!! Dunno whether I got ear damage now.. Haha.. Yeah, virtually everything went right lah. Can remember that I liked the music, though can’t remember how it sounds like anymore.. Anyway the musical was about this about this teacher who had a sister with mental sickness and wanted to obtain a grant to Harvard, and this problem student who was ashamed of her mom and was ruining the teacher’s chances of going to Harvard. So yeah, in the end both parties reconciled, accepted their families.. Blahblah. Yeah, the all-too-familiar-ending and happily ever after kinda feeling. =) Expected, but hey, it’s not like it’s a bad thing right? Ha! And at the end, this ‘shy’ girl started to sing, and wow! She was a powerhouse! Stunned! Yeah. Great.
During intermission went to the pit to take a peek at friends! Haha, yeah. So sad that you can’t see them in the pit right.. Sad! When everything ended, went out and mixed round. Whee. Then got a lift home! Yesh! Thanks so much man!
Great day.
So then today.. During announcements, Hon called all the people from the sports CCAs down and congratulated them. Then announced the halfday today and tomorrow, cuz we’d won the track meet in both divisions yet again. Come as no surprise dude. Haha! Had to stay back longer for the Australian Math Competition. Did everything and had half an hour left, so I went to sleep. Then the teacher chased me out! Haha! Went to the canteen for lunch, and guess what. Saw Ernie and Wei Shing! Haha! So I ate with them. Were talking about.. *ahem* Certain people in the orchestra.. Ha! Chan (WeiShing) was going to teach, and Ernie just came down to have lunch with him. So passed by the orch-room and saw Joseph and Wai Peng. Hardworking! Proud of you guys. Played a little viola with them then watched a soccer match at the court then came home. And been slacking. Gonna take a nap now, then work and practise! Or the other way round, maybe. Haha! Cya!
