Ok. I’m staying in Egypt.
Yes! This is sabbatical week. It’s like.. One word : SLACK! Wahey! Hahaha. Ok, so hmm.
Saturday had rehearsal in the morning. Went pretty late cuz I was biding my time. Haha. But Goh wasn’t around lah.. So. Yup. I’m so bad. Wanted to go KAP for lunch! But everybody was wasting time, and I couldn’t make it in the end. Oh wells. Had TO. Went home practised violin. Had to. I almost never practice. Maybe, twice in a month? That bad. Got into a little row with my parents. I wanted to cancel lesson to go ernie’s concert, but they wouldn’t let. So then dad told me I could go from bedok to esplanade in 20min. Problem solved. I’d just miss the first trumpet piece, and get in time for ernie’s item. So after lesson rushed down.. Stepped outta the car. And found out that it was sold out. Oh whee. So then just walked around lah. Anything’s better than going home.. Getting nagged at by mom.. So yup. Pa fetched me home.
Sunday was quite normal lah. Only thing was that I went down to orchard to bought stuff with Chow and Co. Thanks a million! *Group-hug.
Monday’s viola lesson was a little confusing. At first when I went to the music room 2, Goh told me to shift to music room 1. Room 1 stinks! Even though ernie says it’s more ‘cosy’ inside. Haha! After my lesson Ernie switched back to Room 2 cuz he needed to use the piano. Ha. Ohohoh. First day of sabbaticals. I took Forensic Science. We don’t get to cut up dead bodies and do autopsies though. More on DNA ecxtraction. Issit a blessing or a curse? Haha! I guess it’s more of a blessing, cuz we had to extract from chicken liver. And to extract, we had to pound it until it was like.. Watery?! So sick! Eww.. Felt like puking but got a grip and after a while it didn’t seem that bad anymore. Haha.
Today was quite pissing. With Goh. The orch-room key’s been lost. Some sec2s took it on Saturday and didn’t return. And the sec2s are having camp in chinese gardens now.. Wth. The spare key was with Hannah Yeo today, cuz Goh didn’t come, was on MC. And Yeo left directly after school. So like.. There’s no key?! How to have sectionals! Called goh, and he said ‘solve your own problems’. Like.. Whatever. We have 2 options. ONE: Go home. TWO: Kick Down The Damn Door. I chose not to vandalize. So came home. Viola still locked up in the room. Sigh. Poor thing. SoBz! Haha! Watched CSI during sabbats today! So cool!

I am confused, frustrated.. Sigh.. Wonder how much longer I can last.. Being thrown around like anybody’s business.. Being just.. Nothing.. In those eyes.. And after all that’s been said.. All that’s been done.. In the end it all boils down to nothing. Nothing. Because I’ve got nothing left inside.. Opening up.. Giving up everything.. Was it such a good idea? All that’s left is an empty space inside that seems to widen every second. Have I not fought my battle hard enough? Held on tightly enough? The grip is loosening. Control over my feelings is a thing of the past.. Maybe it’s just me. Maybe it’s my own fault. Is it? I don’t know.. Anything at all.. Everything’s just.. Blank.. I am too blind to see the past.. Nor the the future.. The present is nothing. I thought I could go on forever.. Now I feel the fatigue.. The disappointments.. The rejections.. The cold.. They all settle down around me.. Drowning me in my own insecurities.. My fears.. Which I can’t even say are true or not. And maybe.. It’s not meant to be.. I must be prepared. I hope it is not too late to turn back.. Should I? Would I be right in planning this Exodus? I don’t know at all.. I don’t want to leave.. I don’t want to hurt. Why am I such a glutton for punishment? Why would I prefer to take the wounds of others on myself? I need answers.. And I shall be suffering until I get them.

Was damn stupid yesterday, but I'll get to that. After school went coronation, had my hair cut, took a couple of passport sized photos. Met mom and had lunch. Then went to make my IC, and update the photo on my passport too, at Kallang. Met Christy!! Haha!, Qiao! Person said my photo quality was bad, and maybe I have to go back again and give another one.. Oh man, hope its ok, cuz I dun wanna waste my time again..
So then parted with mom. She was going Bugis to buy stuff, I was going home. Boarded the 67, slept.
Woke up. Eh, how come this place looks so strange, yet so familiar?

I’m damn sure I took the bus in the right direction.
This is Eunos. Didn’t know 67 comes to Eunos.
The bustop at lavender (where I took the bus) had ‘61’ on the buses sign.
Shit.
So yes, I’d taken the wrong bus. 61 instead of 67. Cock-eyed. Was sleeping somemore. Couldn’t be bothered, so took a cab back. $10.10. Got home, and when mom did, she refused to give me back the money.. Scolded me for my idiocy too. Oh well. I really was stupid lah.
So today, funny thing happened in chinese. Teacher let us go library to do zuowen! Haha! And you know when we go places out of class, work doesn’t get done. I was reading books, then went to a little corner and slept on the floor, using a stack of books as a pillow. Haha! We were supposed to do the zuowen from 12.10-1.30. At 2.20 I;d written 8 lines. So slack ok! Then I popped. Rushed! And at 2.45 I was done. So fast right! Hahaha! The fastest zuowen I ever wrote! And it was over the 2.5 page minimum! Whee! So cool. Friends were like.. 0_0 , -_- , 0_0 *blink-blink. Haha!
Had to stay back in class even more for the presentation thing. It turned out to be crap lah. Nvm. Went for rehearsal late. We’ll be playing the Mendelssohn 12 string symphonies and his D-minor violin concerto in July. Currently don’t have much expectations of it. Am fearing it’ll be a flop. But hope we’ll make it lah, still have a year to work it out.. Dunno how we’re gonna do it.. But we’ll try anyhow.
Went coronation and watched Lenard eat his dinner. Had an ice-milo. Took the same bus home with him. He was going church.
So I’ve been slacking. Gonna do some work I guess.

Saturday
Went for strings. Late. Cuz I was eating prata! Hahaha. Was darn full. Nice breakfast! Yay. =) Played lame songs.. Persian Market? Stupid! Ohohoh. And Polish, the dumbdumbdumb piece from TO. -_- There weren’t any viola scores so we had to play with violin 3 scores?! In treble?! It’s quite ok for me lah, but my other section mates died.. Pure-violists.. How to read? Heh. So left for TO, and poor Joseph was left behind.. Solo. *Evil-laughter. =D Ok lah, have to admit that he was quite poor thing.. Eh, (nudge) Joseph, you keep quiet k.. You promised! Bleah.
Nothing much at TO. The magnitude of sian-ness seems to increase at every rehearsal..

So anyway, first was this Elgar piece, in commemoration of this person called Lu Sinclair? Nice, really nice.
Shostakovich Festival Overture! Hahaha! TO piece. Thought it was darn stupid. TO screwed it up like crazy, and I was faking of course. ;D Wee. But AYO made it sound so good! Was stunned.

Nice, but the thing that struck me was the bass solo on the 3rd movement. Sounds like you know, that chinese nursery rhyme, ‘san1 zhi1 lao2 shu3’ (3 mice) in a minor key. Haha! Lame me.
So yes, they were damn good ok. Oh, and Nathan turned up! And everybody had to give him a standing ovation when he came in and went out. Ha!
Went home. Wheehah. ;)

Went late for Sunday class cuz me Vicky, Lynsey, Lawrence, David went to market to eat after mass. Haha! Me and dave had the chicken noodles. Yum! So when we stepped into class Jevon quite pissed.. Woah, cool down brudder! Dave was hyper! Nudge, guess why. Haha! Lips zipped. That’s all for the day lah. Nothing much. Didn’t go grandma’s place.
Monday
Viola lesson after school. And those people from china, Ji Mei popped into the orch room for a vist, with the v-principal. And. My shirt was tucked out and everything.. Socks were off. Argh! Scrambled to get my shirt in before I got blasted. Hahaha. Went home mugged until damn late. Wanted to mug more, but mom didn’t let me! Took away my notes and made me go sleep. Wth. But anyway. Something happened that made me so happy! Won’t say anything more.
Tuesday
Had this performance thing, and the Ji Mei people had their ‘string-orchestra’, ‘band’ (notice the inverted commas) and dance troupe. The violinists were a bunch of egotistic and pathetic idiots. Play like crap and still boast bout your skill, go to hell man. And stay there, muahaha. So yes, they sucked, end of story. How good can dancing get? Our strings had to put up a performance too, and the audience said it was the best item. All hail us! Hee. =D Played the JC Bach and Persian Market (yucks!). Our chinese orch put something up too. They were.. Ahem.. Hahaha. But waaayy better than those Ji Mei losers lah. Sin Hwee on the dizi was ‘wow’. Yup. Went back to the room and slacked.

Nothing up lah. Been slackingslackingslacking. Needa go do some solid work, bye guys!
Wonderful how just hearing a voice can brighten up the whole world for me, even when it seems so dark and hopeless.. It’s so nice to know that whatever I do, no matter what failures I face, there’s always someone there for me, to pick my broken soul up and mend it. Thanks!

Hey.. Haven’t been blogging cuz I just don’t have the time.. Had Geography test yesterday, physics and history today.. So I’ve been mugging mugging mugging.. Feeling so sick and tired of it.. But still have chem and math next Tuesday?! Ok. Math ain’t that bad.. But chemistry is like.. Hard.. Sigh.

Nothing. After school went home and mugged.. The usual lah. Oh yah, woke up at 5am to study somemore.. Then went back to sleep at 6. And woke up at 6.45 and was almost late for school. Made me so tired..
Thursday
Had geog test. Thought it was easy. No need to mug also can find lotsa crap to write, so yup. Not bad. Went opposite Beauty World for lunch? Yup. So cool. SO COOL! Okok. At johnson duck.. Yeah. So that really brightened my day. Went home, mugged. Duh. Was still so tired from the day before..
Today
Had the other 2 tests.. Think I screwed up my history.. Was slacking during the test, just sit down and stare at the paper.. And physics was just soso.. Not really sure, but oh well. Had rehearsal. Tested out the new makeshift orch room. Our old one was gonna be demolished to make way for an administrative block for the principals in TCHS and HCJC.. And the new room is so small.. And the aircon doesn’t seem to work.. Nvm, better than nothing. So played some ‘basketball’ and went home. Thrashed the sec1s. Ha. Practised.. Really long.. Tested out the new snake-wood bow that Goh lent me! If I like it I’ll buy it.. But wanna test it more first.. Go re-hair my old bow and see if the snake-wood one is really that much better. Cool. Wanna do the pegs on my violin and viola.

Went Sunday class after mass lah, as usual. But was feeling so darn hyper! Maybe from the day before, I dunno. Hee. But better things were still coming, muahaz. So I was like, cracking all these crazy crazy jokes and we were like all bursting out laughing. Jevon was giving me some killer stares.. Hahaha. But I wasn’t so bad lah. Still listened quite a bit on Amanda’s topic bout Mary. So.. Yeah.
Then went home, mugged. Practised. Then went to CCAB to jog with my bro. I didn’t want to, cos it’d jeopardize my plans.. But didn’t have much of a choice. Mom wanted me to go and cheer my bro on.. Saw Jon Lim playing soccer. I think he’s quite blind, didn’t see me. But I didn’t say hi.. I really wanted to save time more than anything. So ran finish the 2.4km, then took a long long walk to grandma’s place. Then quickly bathed! Gobbled down my dinner! Then got Ryan to give me a lift to Steven’s Road. Him, Yan Jia and little Jonah (my nephew!!! so cute ok!!!) are going back to the states on Friday! Sigh. Still remember that time when we went Australia.. She was my favourite cousin and I always stuck onto her.. Hmm. Dunno why.. Not like we could relate with each other, looking at the age difference.. Haha. They’re going New York. So during the 9/11 attacks? At the Twin Towers? Their workplace was just a few blocks away.. Scary huh. Hope they’ll stay safe and sound.
Was going to watch the fireworks, see. Bro wanted to go with me at first, but didn’t in the end cuz of. Ahem. Reasons. Hahaha. So I waited so long for a damn taxi, but it just wouldn’t come. And when one finally did, the stupid driver told me he couldn’t take me to Esplanade cuz of a jam in orchard. And by that time I only had 15min to make it in time at 8.30. Oh my gosh. I rushed like crazy to Newton, wanted to take an MRT to Marina Bay station and just hope to catch it from there. But wth. I missed the thing. By just a couple of minutes.. Sigh. Oh well. Was feeling quite depressed lah. I mean, the whole day I’d been hoping to go catch it, and now I missed it. So I took an MRT back to city-hall. Walked through city-link to Esplanade. Against the human traffic. Was desperately trying to make calls but the whole darn network was over-loaded. So I gave up trying and just walked. Then suddenly I heard someone’s phone ringing. Significance: Network’s Free! So I quickly re-dialed and bingo! Got through! Yes! Haha.
So yeah. Walked down to Fullerton. The Esplanade Drive flyover was packed man. After walking to Fullerton, walked back to Esplanade again! Haha! My leg’s were killing me. Went through city-link again to city hall. Took MRT.. Haha.. And blur-ly took the wrong train to Paya Lebar. Walao. Haha. But just as well. Really. Sigh. More time!.. Anyway took train back to city hall, took the correct train this time to Newton. Then bus.. Ok. It was great lah, the whole thing. So wonderful. Sigh. Can’t forget this..
Went home, mom was a little pissed with me. Mugged a little and slept at the time that had been set for me. Whee.

OK!!! My birthday! Waaaaaayy cool! But, still had a viola lesson in the morning! Haha! Ohwell. Bro was jogging on the track while I was in the music room. Dad fetched me home. So mugged lah. Then went with my family to Kallang river to watch the NDP fireworks. Ok, cool lah, something I wanted to do the day before but couldn’t. Shouldn’t complain, but still would have preferred to catch it on Sunday. But anyway, the fireworks were great! Really good. After that went to the hawker centre, ate some food and went home. Yeah, pretty uneventful.. Then at night. Omg.. It was just so sweet.. Really cannot put how I feel into words.. It’s like.. So happy until I feel crying. :’) Haha.. Didn’t sleep much.. Cuz of stuff. Yeah.
Today
Nothing much. Just stayed home and mugged. Felt quite tired the whole day.. Haha. Went to climb the stupid BT hill with family AGAIN. Sian. Nvm.
Thank you! OMG. Really feel so happy.. So grateful.. Can’t find any words to express everything either. Thank you for just being, for existing.. For loving me.. For being there.. For just knowing the right things to say at all the right times and make me feel so warm and happy and special inside.. I really hope it never ends! The feeling’s just so powerful.. You rock!! Screw. I’m pissed!!!!! Typed so much just now and the whole damn comp hanged! AAARGH! #@$^#$^*!$^!$~!!!!!!! If words could kill this damn CPU would be nothing but a lump of molten plastic and metallic particles by now.. Urgh. Sigh.
Nothing much yesterday. Woke up this morning and felt conformist, so wore a white bermudas and red shirt. Regretted it later. Ha. Met YiJia on the bus. He just lives in the condo next to mine. Reached school and watched the "parade". Just a bunch of uniformed group people marching around, looking like fools. Haha! And we were laughing at all the gibberish those officers were shouting at their comrades. Bet they don’t even know half of what they’re trying to say.. Adjourned to the KK hall.. Watched some stupid performances that really sucked. Agony. Teachers and students trying to sing, but failing miserably.. Goh included. Ha! But there were some good ones lah, like the rock group and that guest singer.. Perreira, is it? But everybody was stoning, no matter what the emcees did to stir us up and try to get us to open our mouths to sing. Haha!
Went for a history workshop after the ‘concert’. Was bout how to answer essay questions and source- based and stuff. Resented it at first, but came out with the sense that I’d learned something useful.. Teo CM rocks! She can teach and she cares.. Just don’t make her angry.. Ha.
Tried out Jeremy’s new violin! It came in this really cool slick case! And it sounds real good lor! Almost as good as mine, and mine’s seasoned!! But! The price-difference.. It’s half of mine!! Argh! Envy! Sigh. Jeremy, exchange violins with me!! And pay me the price difference too! Haha!
Walked out to the bustop with lawrence and met up with Glen and Vicky. Went Beauty World to play pool. *Evil-grin. Along the way something funny happened. I noticed a huge red ant on my arm, so I flicked it, and it landed on this guy. He didn’t know and it was like, crawling all over him.. Onto his hair! Haha! Dunno what happened to it in the end.. Anyway, went we got there, all the tables were full. So we reserved one and went Al-Ameen for Brunch. Ate prate. Nice! But needed to wait a long time though. By the time we got to play, I only had time for one game, then I had to rush back to school!
It was a mini-performance by RJC SNYO String Quartet. Was going to be late. And I was. But along the way.. Let’s just say I had to make a ‘pit-stop’. Hee. I really really really couldn’t resist, from the bottom of my heart! I just had to! Haha. I rock. Hee. Ego. You rock more! So yes, ran all the way to the library, from the bustop.
Tried to sneak, sweaty and all, but Goh just had to turn around. Oh well. So much for stealth. Anyway, they were good man! Look at myself and.. Sigh. Oh, and it was Beverly’s birthday! Shaun and Joyce played the b’day song. Then they 3 blindfolded her with a tie and led her to the 2nd storey of clock-tower! Haha! She was squealing and Ernie was filming it down on a camcorder. Funny!
Went home. Slacked a bit, and slept a lot. Still a tad tired though. Got into trouble again.. But look, it’s not like I’m not working at it ok? I just need time.. Got so many things.. Tests.. Geog, history, physics nest week.. Chemistry and Math the next.. How to enjoy myself like that.. Sigh. Wasted enough time typing this.. Didn’t practice.. Fingers need a rest!

Wednesdays are pretty slack.. Have 3 periods of assembly. Basically just a time wear you sit in the auditorium and try not to fall asleep while the speaker(s) drone on and on.. And on.. ZzZz.. Haha! Oh speaking of the word "basically".. I've realised that it's a word regurgitated over and over again during assembly.. Reason, people just want to sound big.. Sure, it sounds striking once in a while.. But after every sentence? Yuck. Talk of innovation and originality.
Ok. But assembly was quite fun today.. Galven, you totally rock my socks. Always going up there and saying "Mr Soh Yi Da" and stuff like that.. Darn funny! Yeah, and it all started after you stood up for me against the school administration. Thanks a million. Still remember the first day I stepped into the orch-room? Sat beside you, and you were drinking pepsi and I saying *ahem* stuff bout it.. Haha.. Eeks. I was that awful once.. Bleah. Nvm. So, a lotta people were like attacking the speakers and it was real fun. I went to the toilet, and came back in the middle of Tristan's speech. Walked across the auditorium. And I don't know why everbody started laughing.. They were telling me I looked so attitude. Haha!
So after school came home. Slacked. Took a really long nap. Had dinner and mugged. Practiced. Here I am.
Aunt has heart murmur.. Haiz. She's a really nice person.. Has to go for an operation.. Mum was telling me that she already had it when she was young. But it got serious recently.. Crap.

Yawn. *Blink-blink* Nothing much today. Struggled to stay awake during lessons as usual. Had an English comprehension common test in the afternoon. Chiong finished the thing and went to sleep! Ha. Then had sectionals. It’s so much easier with Peng and Joseph helping out. Phew! Haha. Some sorta tag-team match, heh. So yeah, played soccer a teeny bit, just taking shots only, not a match. Went home. Nothing much.
Oh my god. Just realised I only have a little less than 3 years.. 2 years, 10 months to be quite exact.. It’s a short time for what I wanna do.. So short.. Wish I’d started earlier.. But how was I to know? The world’s a cruel place.. No space for errors.. Ugh.. So hard.. So much to do, so little time.. When there’s a will there’s a way? Dunno if it’ll be the case for me.
Tick-tock. Time is passing.. And on it goes, you can’t go back. Sometimes you just wish it were a computer game.. You could just save and retry, till you get the perfect result.. How I wish.. Maybe it’s meant to be.. Just accept it. Maybe..

Wong SM's math lessons are getting more and more chaotic by the day.. Class has coined a nick for her "SMS" - "Soi Moi sucks".. Which is quite true lah. She really does suck. I remember there was one lesson when she said that those who weren't interested would go out of the class. I picked up the worksheet, a hard-back file, a pen, and stepped out of class. On my own accord. Attitude? That's me. It's like, sitting in her class is just so.. Ugh.. Can't concentrate on whatever you're doing 'cause the class is so noisy! But they have a reason to anyway.. She just doesn't know how to teach! And the way she talks.. I rest my case. And ever since this incident, everybody’s been going out the class, just for the heck of it. Today people wanted to skip the whole lesson and go to the library, but it didn’t work out in the end.. She let us look at a piece of paper with our math results on it, and people took it and started acting like they were in an american football match.. Take and run around.. Even out the class.. And you know what. If this gets to higher administration, I WILL BE SCREWED. Because I started all this. And you know what? The reason why I went out of the class that day wasn’t to act cool. Believe me. I just wanted to use my time more fruitfully. And I tell you, during those minutes out there, I learnt more than WongSM ever taught me. That education and schooling are 2 completely different things.. Think about it.

Tag-board’s down.. How irritating.. And it takes a hell lot of time to load up sites with tag-board on it.. Stupid..
Oh well. Gonna sleep after I type this man. That’s a promise to myself.. Yawn..
Yesterday, had no strings practice. Cool. Ha. Could sleep a little later than usual. Woke up and mugged.. Then went for TO. Headache was still there, but very slight. Remember when I was young.. Had some really bad ones.. Had to go sleep cos the pain was so bad.. And when I woke up, and it was still so bad.. And I wasn’t tired enough to sleep anymore.. Cried.. Shudder.. So anyway, had blisters from soccer the day before.. Ha.. Always play barefoot.. Yesyes, I promise I will never do it again.. So was limping around.. After rehearsal (was quite a fun one, for some reasons. whee.) ZhiWei gave me a lift to school for viola lesson. Thanks! Otherwise I have to limp all over the place.. Went to the music room and Ms Siew (siew mai/char siew pau) was using it.. Told me to go 4L. So was walking along the corridor when I saw Ernie stick his head out of the door. Yep. Went in and he started to ask me about Siew. Asked me if she was normally a nice person. Turned out that she’d kicked him out of the room.. Won’t elaborate, but it was quite a funny showdown! Haha! And yeah, found out how much Siew sucks, actually. As a person. Nvm.
Btw, heard that some sec2 guy got expelled because he created a blog to insult his chinese teacher.. Had lotsa vulgar stuff in it.. Hmm. Wonder if some backstabber out there gonna do that to me? Go get a life, ok?
Yes, so lesson was fun! Didn’t really have a lot of time to practise, and anyway we talked a lot, and Ernie was messing around with JC Bach’s viola concerto 3rd movement cadenza. Was so darned funny! Haha! And of course telling me a lot of real funny stuff, like how wacky violists are. Yeah! =D We’re a buncha rockahs!! Oh, and he gave me a ferrero roche. Yum!
Went home and worked. Yeah. Nothing much.
So then today, woke up early, and went to church.. Then found out there was no classes.. So I could have slept more.. Grr.. Forgetful! Yeah, no class cos it was Parish Feastday. Was a funfair. But I didn’t go cos I was going out with my family. Went to shing shiong, (near Sim Lim Square, you know where?) for breakfast. Pigged out. Burp. Wasn’t really hungry for the rest of the day, until dinner. Parents bought groceries. Then we went Mustafa Centre, bought my bro a new pair of reebok shoes. Then went coronation to buy more groceries. Came home, ate the packaged lunch my mom bought and read papers and worked.. Went grandma’s place. Used comp there to work more. Ah. Then had a convo on the phone. Haha, yepz! The highlight of the day, yeah. Heh. So came home. Worked.. And now. Gonna keep my promise.

Yes, so lesson was fun! Didn’t really have a lot of time to practise, and anyway we talked a lot, and Ernie was messing around with JC Bach’s viola concerto 3rd movement cadenza. Was so darned funny! Haha! And of course telling me a lot of real funny stuff, like how wacky violists are. Yeah! =D We’re a buncha rockahs!! Oh, and he gave me a ferrero roche. Yum!
Went home and worked. Yeah. Nothing much.
So then today, woke up early, and went to church.. Then found out there was no classes.. So I could have slept more.. Grr.. Forgetful! Yeah, no class cos it was Parish Feastday. Was a funfair. But I didn’t go cos I was going out with my family. Went to shing shiong, (near Sim Lim Square, you know where?) for breakfast. Pigged out. Burp. Wasn’t really hungry for the rest of the day, until dinner. Parents bought groceries. Then we went Mustafa Centre, bought my bro a new pair of reebok shoes. Then went coronation to buy more groceries. Came home, ate the packaged lunch my mom bought and read papers and worked.. Went grandma’s place. Used comp there to work more. Ah. Then had a convo on the phone. Haha, yepz! The highlight of the day, yeah. Heh. So came home. Worked.. And now. Gonna keep my promise.
